Ruth Theresa Lirette Hebert, 87, a native and resident of Houma, died on Wednesday, January 10, 2018.

Ms. Hebert is survived by her son, Shelly “Sno” Hebert and wife Terrie; daughters, Benita H. Grabert and husband Dale, Melodie “Mel” Gilbert and husband Butch, Sophie H. Guidry and husband Lawrence “J-Boy”; sisters, Dorothy “Dot” Hebert, Shirley L. Allemand, Lillie L. Allemand; eleven grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved dancing with her husband, flowers, fishing, cooking for her family and friends, and playing cards with her friends. She loved her family, friends and life in general and was loved by all who met her. If you met her you became her friend. Ruth was an amazing loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She would always extend her affection over others and never knew a stranger. Ruth’s generosity was astonishing. Those who knew her will never forget her.
