Ruth Theresa Boquet Pinell, age 89, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2019. She was a native and resident of Bourg. LA
Ruth is survived by her sons, Albert J. (Phyllis) Pinell Jr., Keven J. (Sandra) Pinell Sr., Eric P. (Susan) Pinell, and Daniel J. (Lorenda)Pinell; daughters, Patricia P. (Edward Jr.) Toups, Bernadette P. (Johnny) Adams, Angelia P. (Houston Sr.) Ezell, and Denise P. (Edward) Fett; brother, Andrew “Pete” Boquet Sr.; sister, Rosemary (Donald Sr.) Rhodes; 20 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Ruth was a parishioner of St. Ann Catholic Church, where she served as the secretary for Ladies Altar Society and taught Religion for many years. She was a member of the VFW in Bourg. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, spending time with family and friends, and most of all, she loved serving the Lord. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
