August 12, 2015Lafourche Parish officials say vouchers for children’s uniforms are still available through the Parish Government’s Office of Community Action.
Community Action Executive Director Freddia Ruffin-Roberson said the vouchers are are designated for qualifying families and can be picked up at any of the parish’s three outreach offices in Thibodaux, Mathews and Galliano.
The voucher program provides each qualifying school-aged child in the household with a $40 voucher to be redeemed at one the two area stores, Jake’s Kids in Thibodaux and Pat’s of Chauvin in Terrebonne.
The program is limited to Lafourche Parish households.
The Thibodaux outreach office is located at the Parish Unit, 2535 Veterans Blvd. and is only open Wednesday; The Mathews office is at 4876 La. Highway 1 and the Galliano office is at 16241E. Main St., Suite 13B.
