Sterling George Callegan Jr., 53, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Thursday, Aug. 13, 2015.
Mr. Callegan was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church. An avid fisherman and automobile enthusiast, he was also a license plate collector.
Mr. Callegan is survived by his wife of 23 years, Samantha Fanguy Callegan; sons, Sterling III (Meghan) and Carl J. Hebert Jr.; brothers, Wesley (Charles Luke) and Tyler (Christine) Callegan; sisters, Julie (Terry) Porche, Leslie Gautreaux, Lisa (Robert) Champagne, Trina (Jeffery) LeCompte and Stacey Callegan; brother-in-law, Mark Breaux; mother, Ouida Haydel Callegan; and five grandchildren.
Burial is at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the family are appreciated.
