June is finally here! What is your favorite thing about summer?

The heat. I don’t like cold weather — at all. I enjoy being able to swim and be out on the water. That’s my thing.

Vacations. My family always takes a trip to Florida every summer. Lately, we’ve spent some time on Grand Isle, as well.

Being out of school is the No. 1 thing, but that’s obvious. My friends also have a lot of birthdays in the summer, so we do a lot of celebrating.

For me, I think it’s the fact that there are longer days and less stress. Things just seem to slow down in the summer and I like that.

I am a big soft-pitch softball player and the summer is the tournament season for that sport. That’s what I look forward to.
