It took many years of patient waiting, but the Terrebonne High School baseball team is finally ready to show off its dazzling new ballpark.

The Tigers opened their park last week in a district loss against Destrehan.

Terrebonne will have its official grand opening on Saturday against Central Lafourche – a day that will be a celebration of all of the hard work that’s been done to bring the ballpark to completion.

According to Tigers coach Gus Brown, there will be free food and drinks at the game, and also a fireworks show.

First pitch for the afternoon tilt will be at 5:30 p.m.

The Trojans were 2-0 in district play at press-time, while the Tigers sat at 1-2.
