1. THIBODAUX: The Tigers survived the brutal Bayou District healthy and ready for the playoffs. How far Thibodaux can go in the postseason will depend on if the team can find offensive balance. When the Tigers throw the football effectively, they can compete with just about anyone.

2. SOUTH LAFOURCHE: If someone would have told me in June that Harvey Allen wouldn’t play a single snap for the Tarpons in 2015, I would have told you that the Tarpons would struggle mightily to be a .500 team. But South Lafourche exceeded my expectations and won six games in 2015 – a number that was one long pass away from being seven wins, thanks to a last-second rally by Assumption in Week 9.

3. CENTRAL LAFOURCHE: I couldn’t feel any happier than I do right now for Central Lafourche. The Trojans faced a must-win situation in Week 10 against East St. John. Down by four and with the clock grinding down, the Trojans connected on a touchdown pass with 31 seconds left to punch a ticket to the field.

4. E.D. WHITE: The Cardinals have a powerful running game that might be the best of any in the Houma-Thibodaux area. Division II is brutal, but it’s also a bit top-heavy. The Cardinals may stick around a while.

5. CCA: The Lions would have loved to play on Thursday night to get some seasoning before the start of the Division IV Playoffs. But that plan went for naught when Crescent City pulled out of the game.
