1. THIBODAUX: The Tigers ran into arguably the best team in Louisiana on Friday night and it showed. Destrehan led Thibodaux big in the second half before pulling out some starters and allowing some late points. The Tigers will be fine. They’re still a threat to beat anyone on a given night.

2. SOUTH LAFOURCHE: The Tarpons were a millimeter away from beating Assumption on Friday night. After a late field goal, everything looked peachy for the Tarpons, but a late bomb from Assumption ruined South Lafourche’s homecoming festivities.

3. E.D. WHITE: Jeremy Rounds was a one-man highlight reel on Friday night, racking up 300-plus yards with six scores. The rest of the Cardinals aren’t too bad, either, owning six wins already on the season.

4. CENTRAL LAFOURCHE: Congratulations are in order to Keith Menard and the Central Lafourche football team for getting their fifth win of the season. The Trojans have been so close for so long, but have finally broken the ice to seal that they will not have a losing season.

5. CCA: Lions coach Randy Boquet is a good dude. We’re so happy for the successes that he’s having with CCA. To get the first LHSAA-recognized football district title in Lions history is an honor that they’ll remember forever at the small private school.
