Nicholls education student aces national contest

Thomas “Tom” Guidroz, 86, a native of St. Louis, Mo., and resident of Houma, La., died on Saturday, May 6, 2017.
Mr. Guidroz retired with the United States Air Force after 20 years of service. He was a Vietnam War veteran and was awarded two Distinguished Flying Crosses, 12 Air Medals and an Air Force Commendation Medal. He was a member of Annunziata Church, the Knights of Columbus, Council 10612 and former president of EAA, Chapter 513.
He is survived by his wife, Raymonda Resweber Guidroz; daughters, Kim Guidroz, Stacy (Joey) Detiveaux, Stephanie (Jayme) Stipanovich and Margaret Stoneburner; son, Nelson (Anne) Sturdivant; and seven grandchildren.
A private burial will be held at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Houma.
