Velma Somme’ Candies, 92, a native and resident of Des Allemands, La., died on Wednesday, July 6, 2016.
Mrs. Candies loved working in her yard and watching game shows, while Sundays were for church and Saints games.
She is survived by her children, Spencer (Lisa) Candies, Mynette (Kenny) Zimmer, Michael (Wanda) Candies and Susan Savoie; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Burial is at St. Gertrude Catholic Church Cemetery in Des Allemands.
