and resident of Houma, La., died at 10:50 p.m. Sunday, July 19, 2015.

Mr. Sevier attended LSU and graduated from Southwestern Louisiana Institute (SLI) in Lafayette. He was a U.S. Army veteran. An oilfield worker, he worked for Gemoco for 29 years, rising to vice-president and president of the company. He loved fishing, hunting and playing bridge.

He is survived by his children, Dr. Victor Sevier III, Sarah (Gene Jr.) Chauvin, Dorothy Fontenot and Matthew (Jill) Sevier; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and three expected great-grandchildren.


Burial is at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
