Houma man charged with rape

The Houma Police Department has arrested a 87-year-old for allegedly raping two of his family members.

On Feb. 4. HPD detectives were called to a report of a sexual assault that occurred about two years age During the investigation it was discovered that two female victims between the ages of 18 and 21 were assaulted by a relative.


Authorities learned that the assaults occurred over the past two years.

As authorities continued to investigate, HPD interviewed the victims and learned that the suspect was Paul Nosworthy, 87. of Tulsa Avenue.

HPD was able to obtain an arrest warrant on Noewurthy through the 32nd Judicial District Court on charges of third-degree rape and sexual battery.


On Wednesday just after 9 a.m.. HPD located Nosworthy and took him into custody.

After a brief interview,, he was arrested on the warrant where he faces the above-listed charges.

Deputies searching for teem who reportedly stole rifles in Galliano


Lafairche Parish Sheriff Craig Wsbre. Terrebonne Rarish Sheriff Jerry Larpenter, and Houma Chief of Police Dana. Coleman announced investigators are searching for a teenager who has gone missing after reportedly stealing two rifles from a family member’s home early Thursday morning Krisean Rene Salinas, 14, of Houma is wanted for Felony Theft.

Salinas and Ma mother had been staying with a relative on West 176th Street in Galliano for the past few days. At around 3:45 a.m on Thursday, February 21. deputies received a call that Salinas had fled the relative’s residence, and be had reportedly taken two rifles, an AK47 and an AR-15′ The weapons were not loaded, and all ammunition at the residence was accounted for. Relatives be lieve Salinas may have initially tried hitching a ride to the area of Highway 2d in Laroee, and he may have been in the Houma area Thursday morning. It is believed Salinas is still some, where in the area of Lafourche or Terrebonne Parish.

Salinas is described as a black male, 6’0″ tall, and weighs approximately 160 pounds. He has dark hair which was last seen styled with dreadlocks. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with gray pants. He had a dark navy backpack in his possession.


Salinas is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with knowledge of his current where abouts should call 9-l-l immediately. Do not attempt to engage Salinas in any manner.

Paul No swarthy, 37, of Houma, was charged last week with rape.
