Undocumented citizen arrested in Houma

An undocumented citizen lining in Houma is in the custody on char gee of Internet crimes against children

Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry. said Jose Juan Hernandez, 42, is faring the charges after an arrest earlier this week.


Landry said the case snows the need for tighter border security –an issue that’s being debated and negotiated by President Donald Trump and Congress.

Landry said the stale arrests several illegal aliens a year

Yet again our office has arrested another illegal immigrant accused of exploiting children.” Landry said, “THIS man who should nut be in our country bean, picked up for possessing and distributing pornography involving juvenile a under the age of 13.”


Hernandez. 42, was living in Houma at the time of his arrest He is charged with one count of pornography involving juveniles under the age of 13 (distribution) and 17 counts of pornography involving juvenile under the age of 13 (possession).

The arrest was a result of a joint investigation with the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation Cyber Crime Unite, Homeland Security Investigations, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the Lafourche Parish Sheriff”s Office

Hernandez was booked in the Lafourche Parish Detention Center and a detainer was placed on him by ICE.


General Landry said President Trumps border wall in his estimation, would ease these issues

“Too many Louisiana families have become victims of crime because of our Southern border in name only explained General Landry. “So I Again urge the Congress to support President Trump, build the wall and help us mate our communities safer.”

Woman arrested for stabbing teenage-relative


A 68-year-old woman is in custody of the Terrebonne Parish Sheriffs Office after she allegedly stabbed a teenage relative

On Jan. 22 at about 4:45 p.m.. deputies were called to 206 Cascade Drive in Houma in reference to a disturbance involving a knife,

A deputy drove up to the location and was confronted by a female holding a knife in her hand.


She than placed the knife on the hood of the patrol car and told the deputy that she had Stabbed a 14-year-old female relative.

The suspect was immediately taken into custody without incident and identified as Ethallane Washington, 68. of Houma.

At this time, Acadian Ambulance was treating the victim for a stab wound in the arm. She was then taken to a local hospital for treatment for non-life-threatening injuries She got Britches and was later released.


Authorities investigated the incident and learned that Washington was upset about the victim allegedly talking back to her in a disrespectful manner, which, sparked a heated argument and the stabbing

Washington is charged with aggravated battery and aha was taken to the Terrebonne Pariah Jail where she is held on a $45.000 bond.

She told authorities that she has a mental disorder at the time of her arrest
