THIBODAUX MAN CHARGED AFTER ALLEGEDLY RAPING 2 JUVENILES

Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced the arrest of Kenny Prejeant, 56. of Thibodaur on Tuesday. August S& perjent is charged with First Degree Rape of a juvenile.


Juvenile detectives opened an investigation this week after a two female juvenile victims came forward alleging Prejeant forced them to perform sexual acts. The incidents occurred approximately one year ago. Detectives made contact with Prejaent. and during an interview, he admitted to Ma participation in the incidents.

Prejeant was arrested and booked into the Lafourche Parish Detention Center in Thibodaur on two counts of First Degree Rape. His band is Bet at $300,000

Due to the nature of the case, LPSO is not releasing any other details at this time.


SUSPECT ARRESTED FOR SIMPLE CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

Thibodaur Chief of Police Bryan Zeringue announced the arrest of Allen Frost (W/M. 21, 609 St. Philip Street – Thibodaux. LAX for Simple Criminal Damage to Property.

On Saturday. August 25th. 2016, at approximately 1:55 am. an Officer observed Allen Frost purposely bend a street sign at the intersection of St. Philip Street & W 4th Street Although Frost denied the allegation, he was issued a Misdemeanor Summons for Simple Criminal

Damage of ornate directional and street signs specifically purchased for the Downtown Thibodaux Historic District,, have recently been a reoccurring issue in the Downtown area. Chief Zeringue would like to remind all citizens that the Thibodaux Police Department takes these matters very seriously. Chief Zeringue added that “Any intentional damage of signage will result in not oily an arrest, but full restitution if found guilty. The City of Thibodaux and Thibodaux Main Street strives hard to revitalize the Downtown area, and the Thibodaux Police Department will support their efforts by focusing on this ongoing problem”. Chief Zeringue asks that our community partners contact the Thibodaux Police Departments Main Phone Line at (965) 446-5021, if they know of any past incidents or witness any future incidents, where signage is being damaged.
