Sheriff calls cuts a ‘no-win’ situation

Vivian P. Marie, age 74, a native and resident of Houma, passed away Thursday, Nov. 28, 2018 at 3:58 a.m.
Mrs. Vivian is survived by her loving children, Mitchell P. and wife Tina Marie and Dixie Hebert and husband Wendell; mother, Effie Bourg Price; brothers Timmy, Ronald, Jimmy, Henry and William Price; sisters Margaret LeBeouf and Wendy Guidry; grandchildren Mario Marie, Dustin Chauvin, Chelsea Nettelton, Bishop Marie, Devon Marie, Jacelyn Fanguy and Madden Hebert; and three great-grandchildren.
She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Parish and loved cooking, shopping and possesed a special love for her family, friends and two dogs, Maggie and Gabby. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
A sincere and heartfelt thanks is extended by the family to Dr. Fadi Abou-Issa, Dr. Robert Gamble, Mary Perkins Center, Journey Hospice and the many friends and relatives for their prayers and support.
