HONORABLE MENTION: CCA’s defense— For the second-straight week, a defense wins our honorable mention — this time the group from Covenant Christian earning the honor. The Lions are now 2-0 on the season after beating Hannan 13-12. The CCA defenders held strong throughout the game, which allowed the team the opportunity to secure the win.

BRONZE: Vandebilt quarterback Andrew Robison— I feel like Robison will be on this list every, single week of the season. The dynamite Terriers’ quarterback had five touchdown passes on Friday, coming just short of a thrilling win over Central Lafourche.

SILVER: Central Lafourche receivers David Robinson and Kenneth Poindexter— The one-two punch of Trojans receivers were huge on Friday night, combining for countless catches and more than 2CG yards in Central Lafourche’s win over Vandebilt Catholic.

GOLD: Ellender athlete Davontavean Martin— There is no one locally who affects a game in more ways than Martin does for the Patriots. The Tulane-bound standout made huge plays in special teams, in the passing game and in the running game for Blender on Friday, helping lead them past H.L. Bourgeois.
