Week 3 Players of the Week

BRONZE: CCA halfback Marquel Daigle – Daigle helped get CCA into the winner’s circle for the first time in 2015 on Friday night, taking the opening play from scrimmage for a touchdown. The Lions never looked back, scoring a 43-point victory over Gueydan. Daigle is a big weapon in the Lions offensive attack. This won’t be the last time he finds his way onto this list.

SILVER: Central Lafourche quarterback Austin Aucoin – The Trojans quarterback had the best game of his career on Friday night against South Terrebonne. Aucoin completed 11-of-16 passes for 216 yards and three touchdowns. His emergence has helped give balance to the Central Lafourche offense – one of the driving forces behind the team starting the season with a perfect 3-0 record. Aucoin has loads of weapons. He’s discovering now how to use them.

GOLD: Thibodaux High School’s offensive line – The Tigers lost a lot of their offensive linemen from last season. You’d never have been able to tell it on Friday night against South Lafourche. Thibodaux rushed for 430 yards and five rushing touchdowns in Friday’s win, thanks in large part to a dominant presence in the trenches.
