C. LAFOURCHE-42

S.TERREBONNE-28

Central Lafourche uses 27-straight points in the second quarter to take control of Friday night’s game against the Gators. Quarterback Austin Aucoin was on fire in the win, tossing several touchdown passes and having masterful command of the team. The Trojans are good, folks. They continue to surprise us every, single week.

HLB-32

S. PLAQUEMINES-16

The Braves kept the ball on the ground and overpowered South Plaquemines to get their third win of the season. Blaise and Jude LeCompte are brothers, and they have one thing in common: They can both make plays.

ASSUMPTION – 21

TERREBONNE-7

The Tigers just can’t quite muster enough offense against a sneaky-good Assumption team during Thursday night’s game. The Mustangs offense was slowed by Terrebonne’s stingy defense, but the Tigers weren’t able to generate enough points to make it hurt enough to threaten victory.

THIBODAUX-35

S. LAFOURCHE-9

Injuries have completely mutilated the South Lafourche depth chart. The Tarpons are without their best offensive player in Harvey Allen, their best defensive player in Jacob Jackson and one of their best all-around athletes in Larry Mack. The Tigers took full advantage of that on Friday night, gutting the Tarpons defense for more than 400 rushing yards in an easy win.

ELLENDER-34

BONNABEL-7

The Patriots get in the winner’s circle for the first time in 2015 with an easy, dominant victory over Bonnabel. With Patterson on deck, we should learn more about Ellender.

ST. CHARLES-41

VANDEBILT -7

The Terriers dropped to 0-3 for the second-straight season on Friday night, falling to St. Charles Catholic. But there is no shame in losing to the Class 2A powerhouse. They are one of the best teams in Louisiana. Just ask Thibodaux High.

CCA-43

GUEYDAN-0

The Lions get off the winless block for 2015 with a dominant victory on Friday night. CCA can run the ball. That’s no secret. They just ran into some pretty tough defenses in the first two games. Against Gueydan, the holes were opening up in a big way, and the Lions were able to do whatever they wanted on both sides of the ball.

ST. JAMES

28 E.D. WHITE-26

For the second-straight week, E.D. White loses a heartbreaker. The Cardinals were driving for the win late in the game when a last-second field goal try was blocked, sealing the victory for St. James. The Cardinals will take on Kaplan on Friday night to start district play.

SACRED HEART-49

HOUMA CHRISTIAN-21

It’s a rebuilding year for Houma Christian. Without Drake Battaglia and last year’s senior class, the Warriors are already looking to next season.

South Lafourche quarterback Jaydon Cheramie fires a pass during a practice. Cheramie and the Tarpons fell to Thibodaux on Friday night.
