A slew of young, talented basketball players strutting their stuff at the Cut Off Youth Center this weekend. South Lafourche Biddy Basketball hosted a tournament for boys’ and girls’ teams, fielding teams from south, central and northern Lafourche, as well as from Terrebonne and beyond.
Lockport Biddy was one of the teams representing the community at this weekend’s Biddy Basketball event. The Pirates took on Vermillion in pool play and fell short, despite an early lead.
One of the best games of the day was a semifinals matchup between Larose and South Lafourche. The teams battled, with the Lady Bulldog’s securing a late-game victory.
Despite playing for the first time, Vermilion reached the semifinals in the boys’ bracket.
