The Terrebonne Garden Club held the April meeting at the Main Library. The Club presented the results from their recent flower show. One division was Education and first place went to Mary Jone Peters for Kokedama Moss Balls. She explained how to make the decorative plant arrangements for a different look. Her project will go to a state contest with others. Second place was Terrebonne Live Oak trees by Sandra Moise.

At the recent Terrebonne Garden Club meeting the program was an annual Flower Show. This year the show was a Horticulture Specially Show where only cuttings or plants straight from the garden were included. Over 100 entries were on display. A special Sweepstakes Award was given to the person with the most blue ribbons. This year, Paulette Henry won with 23 entries.


Terrebonne Garden Club awarded their May Civic Pride award to the Roger Songe Veternus Memorial Park on Hwy 311. Standing in front of the main monoment is Cliff Chaisson, a member of the Veterans Board The well-maintained garden is in memory of local servicemen, firemen, first responders, and others who support our area.

The garden of Martha & Bobby Butter received the May Garden of the Month award from Terrebonne Garden Club. Their home, located in downtown Houma, is a feast for the eyes with its pasiel flowers complimenting the color of the old home.
