The Houma-Terrebonne Community Band will play its Christmas concert this weekend at the Southland Mall.
The band will perform Saturday in the JC Penney Court. The concert starts at 6:30 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
The Houma-Terrebonne Community Band is comprised of volunteers of all ages who rehearse and perform for the love of music.
Breastfeeding class at TGMC
Terrebonne General Medical Center is hosting a one-time class designed to prepare expecting mothers with breastfeeding techniques, problems and solutions.
The two-hour class begins at 7 p.m. on Thursday in the Medical Atrium Auditorium at TGMC.
The cost is $30 and those interested can register by calling 858-7380.
Nicholls hosts pottery sale
The Nichols Ceramic Club will host its pottery sale on Thursday and Friday at the Ceramic Studio in Talbot Hall.
The sale will be from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. on both days.
Available for purchase are bowls, planters, tiles and other gifts.
