BIG accepting scholarship applications

The Bayou Industrial Group is now accepting applications from graduating high school seniors for scholarships to Nicholls, Fletcher and the Lafourche and Young Memorial campuses of SCLTC.


BIG hopes to award a total of $10,000 this year.

Youth Art Day to be held at Wallace Center


The Wallace Center in Raceland will hold a free Youth Art Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

Lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the center, located at 3603 La. Highway 308.

The Youth Art Day proves local children with an outlet to express their creativity in addition to the center’s Beyond the Bell program, which helps children with homework Monday through Thursday.


THS Shrimp Boil March 13

The Terrebonne High School Band will hold its annual Lenten Shrimp Boil Fundraiser Friday, March 13.

With plates costing $12 each, lunch crawfish can be pre-ordered by phone at 985-709-7204 or 985-709-7221, by fax at 985-223-2270 and by email at thsshrimpboil@gmail.com.


Walk-ups are also accepted.

Dinner plates are available for purchase also from 4 to 6:30 p.m.
