Former drug cop boss pleads guilty to theft

WoodmenLife Houma Chapter 308 is hosting “Flags Across America” beginning at 9 a.m. Festivities include include a flag raising and remarks at the WoodmenLife Hall, located at 309 S. Hollywood Road in Houma.
Laf. Fire District No. 1 hosting open house
The firefighters of Company No. 5 in Lafourche are hosting an open house from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
Rain or shine, Company No. 5 is providing hamburgers, hot dogs, sweets and drinks, as well as games, free smoke alarm applications, membership information, equipment demonstrations and info on the right way to use a fire extinguisher.
The free event is open to the public.
Station 5 is located at 3159 La. Highway 1 in Raceland.
