Lawyers in Libraries event on tap


Local attorney John Sirois, along with the Terrebonne Parish Library System, Louisiana Library Association and state Bar Association, presents a general topic legal discussion next Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at the Terrebonne Parish Main Library.

Sewage treatment maintenance class offered at Nicholls

The Louisiana DEQ is offering a free sewage treatment system maintenance class at Nicholls University.

The 90-minute class will be taught at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 3, and at 2 p.m. at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 5.


A free 20-minute hands demonstrations will be held Wednesday, Nov. 4, at 560 and 562 La. Highway 308 in Thibodaux.

Thibodaux Police change patch

The Thibodaux Police Department announced that it has brought back an old patch to represent itself.


The insignia comes back after four and a half years of the department using another patch that took over.

Thibodaux Police Department Public Information Officer David Melancon said that new police chief Bryan Zeringue chose to return to the old patch to conjure the history associated with it.
