Cajun Fly-In set for Saturday

The public is invited to get a close look at a variety of aircraft at the free Cajun Fly-In Saturday, beginning at 9 a.m., at the Houma-Terrebonne Airport.


Among the exhibits are U.S. Marine Corp helicopters, a new U.S. Air Force T-6 toboprop powered training airplane and equipment and vehicles from the Houma Police Department, Houma Fire Department, Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office and The Regional Military Museum.

HT Community Band to perform

The Houma-Terrebonne Community Band is hosting a Night of Music at the Houma Municipal Auditorium on Saturday from 7-11 p.m.


The event is BYOL and snacks and calls for a dressy casual attire.

Tickets are $10 each and are available from band members or at Fabregas Music or Uni-Kut.

Restore or Retreat fundraiser set

Coastal advocacy group Restore or Retreat will hold its annual “Barnstorming to Save our Coast” fundraiser on Thursday, Oct. 22, at Charlotte Bollinger’s home in Lockport.

The fundraiser will feature a silent auction, couchon de lait and live music.


Tickets cost $50 each.
