Yvonne Henry Ledet, age 96, passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2018. Yvonne was surrounded by her loving family when she received her angel wings. She is now at peace and rest in the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Yvonne is survived by her daughters, Eurlie Ledet Williams and husband Bobby, Gayle Ledet and Cathy Kohmann; grandchildren, Dena Williams, Michelle Richard and husband Brian, Nicole McKee and husband Christian, Lisa Gehring and husband Chris, Troy Lirette and wife Melissa, Lee Kohmann, Jennifer Toscano and husband Mauricio; great-grandchildren, Sarah AlShammari and husband Maher, Kari Kelly and husband Kory, Malorie, Mylah, and Lee Lirette, Emily Richard, Matthew Kohmann, Jacob and Olivia McKee, Luciano and Luna Toscano, and six great-great-grandchildren. Yvonne is also survived by her constant companion and loving sister Shirley Henry Carlos and husband Black.

Yvonne was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Annunziata Catholic Church. After Druby’s retirement they spent many happy years traveling the country in their RV. Yvonne was a lifelong mother of three generations. Her own mother passed away when she was 15 years old and she assumed responsibility for raising her siblings, then raised her own five children, and assisted in raising her two grandchildren when her daughter passed away at 29 years of age.

The family would like to offer sincere thanks to the entire staff at the Suites of Sugar Mill Point and Haydel Hospice for their care and devotion to Yvonne. A special thanks to the wonderful staff on the green and pink neighborhoods who were her friends and caregivers. A most special thanks to Eva Sapia who loved and cared for Yvonne for many years. And finally, so much love and appreciation for Shirley, her loving sister who spent many hours at her side.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Annunziata Catholic Church.
