T’bonne levee district inks LDWF agreement for J-2
February 23, 2010Audrey Autin Buquet, 89, a native of Bayou Cane, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died at 12:20 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010.
Mrs. Buquet was a member of the First Untied Methodist Church of Houma. She was also a past member of the church choir and the United Methodist Women.
She is survived by her daughter, Judith Buquet Gibson; six grandchildren, Alan “Andy” (Jennifer) Gibson, Sheri-Murphy Ledet, Ann Gibson, Wayne Murphy, Eve (Michael) Wegler and Audra (Malcolm) Neal; eight great-grandchildren; brother, J.C. Autin; sisters, Mildred Cleckler and Pearl Miller; sisters-in-law, Verna Buquet and Judith B. Gibson of Houma.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, A.J. Buquet; parents, Gibson Sr. and Felicia Dufrene Autin; daughter, Patricia Murphy; one grandchild, Jack Donald Murphy; brothers, Gibson Jr., Lloyd, Arnold and Dr. Buford Autin.
Memorial gifts to First United Methodist music ministry or the hospitality committee are appreciated in lieu of flowers.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 1, at First United Methodist Church.
