Lafourche Parish’s Inspect Lafourche program is ending on Sunday, January 30, 2022.

The parish advises that if your property has not been inspected and you would like an inspection, please contact the Call Center at (985) 805-2900 to schedule your inspection. Inspections take less than an hour and with residents’ support, the Parish will succeed in maintaining its status with the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) and be better positioned to access more federal disaster recovery funds.

The program is for residential and commercial property owners. The Parish launched the Inspect Lafourche program to inspect all properties identified as located in FEMA’s Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA). As part of Hurricane Ida recovery operations, FEMA requires that the Lafourche Building Permit office inspect all buildings located in an SFHA to document the damage for the Parish’s records. This will help the Parish maintain its status with the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) and the data collected will also help the Parish ask for federal disaster recovery funds.
