Reis is survived by his daughter, Roxanne Hebert Theriot and husband Barry of Bourg, LA, Grandson, Hunter Jason Theriot, of Nashville, Tennessee, Grand-daughter, Brooke Theriot Brunet and husband Coby of Bourg, two Great-grandchildren, Brayden Brunet, and Cohen Brunet. Reis is also survived by his only loving sibling, Clara Hebert Neil and numerous nieces and nephews.
Reis is preceded in death by his Wife, Melva Carlos Hebert his beloved Bride of 70 years; his one and only son Derrel James Hebert; Parents, Henry Hebert, and Julienne Duplantis Hebert; Brothers, Walter, Morris, William, Charles Ray, Ivy Sr., Russell “CoCo” Sr., Henry “Picky” Jr., Junius “Bud”, Warren “Peter”, Amos, Aaron; Sisters, Frances Hebert, Lois H. Crochet and numerous nieces and nephews.
Reis showed his love to all but he had a special place in his heart for Brayden & Cohen. His strong Faith and love for Christ was shown in the way in which he lived. He will be missed, Rest in God’s Arms, you have reached the other side of the horizon. Until we meet again, Praise Be to God!
The family would like to express thanks to all of the caregivers and friends who showed their love and kindness during the last stage of his life. Special thanks to Haydel Memorial Hospice, especially Mrs. Eva Fitch, Nurse Robin, and Keith Weisheit. Finally, special thanks to all our close friends and family who have supported us in our journey from this life to the next.
