James “Skip” Johnson, 69, a native of Thibodaux, La., and resident of Raceland, La., died Thursday, July 14, 2011.


Mr. Johnson was a former truck driver.


He is survived by his daughter, Chanta Oquinn; sons, Trevant and Davonta Oquinn; brothers Norman (Cora) and Matthew Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Delores Johnson; parents, Matthew and Juanita Johnson; sisters, Rosa Joseph and Annie, Ethel and Audrey Johnson; brothers, Paul and Roland Johnson and Edward Queen.

Burial was at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Napoleonville, La. (Williams & Southall)
