Emmanuel Jenkins Jr., 89, a native of Liberty, Miss., and resident of Gray, La., died Friday, March 15, 2013.
He is survived by his daughter, Brenda Jenkins; sons, J.C., George, Gregory, Cedrick and Clayton Jenkins; 16 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Decloria Jenkins; son, James Jenkins; daughters, Marie Sims and Valerie Jenkins; parents, Emanuel Sr. and Melissa Jenkins; sisters, Lovie Lee, Freddie Martin and Myrtis Reese; and brothers, Andrew and Charles Jenkins.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 22, at Jones Funeral Home in Houma, La., and 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 23, at Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Burial will be at the church cemetery. (Jones)
