Barbara Sapia, 59, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Sunday, June 1, 2014.
Mrs. Sapia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a parishioner of Maria Immacolata Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Whitney Sapia Sr.; son, Whitney Sapia Jr.; daughter, Stacey (Cody) Breaux; brothers, Walter Jr., Robert (Linda), Ronald Sr. (Melinda) and Harry (Tammra) Marcel; sisters, Gloria (Peter) Luke, Betty Fonseca, Elaine (Douglas) LaChico, Alice (Ernest) Sapia, Mary (David) Pitre and Jane (Faron) Dupre; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Marcel Sr. and Kate Lebouef.
Burial is at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. (Chauvin)
