Junius “Polo” M. Guidry, 75, a native and resident of Theriot, La., died at 11:43 a.m. Friday, October 24.
He is survived by his wife, Leona Lirette Guidry; two sons, Randy Guidry and Jessie Guidry and wife Darlene; one daughter, Sandy Wuellner and husband Joe; one brother, Norris Guidry and wife Mazel; one sister, Wilma Farkas and husband Jimmy; grandchildren, Jessica Moffatt, Scott Wuellner, Kym, Kacey and R.J. Guidry, Jessie Jr., Candise, Heather and Matt Guidry; and great-grandchildren, Jacob, Erick, Kayla, Blayse, Austin, Sage, Alyssa, Chanier and Jessalynn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Mary Hotard Guidry; six brothers, Clifton Guidry, Ernest Guidry, Kurnest Guidry, Lester Guidry Sr., LeRoy Guidry and Walton “Jack” Guidry Sr.; and one sister, Thelma “Tut” Dehart.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, October 27, at Samart Funeral Home of Houma, La., and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 28, at St. Eloi Catholic Church in Theriot. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial at the church cemetery.
Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
