Lloyd “Hopper” Thompson Sr., 61, a native and resident of Belle Rose, La., died Saturday, July 11.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon J. Thompson of Belle Rose; four sons, Lloyd Thompson Jr. and wife Shantell of Schriever, La., Shannon and Treniece Thompson of Plattenville, La., and Trenton and Travis Thompson of Belle Rose; three daughters, Rachel Rodrigue and husband Kenneth, and Sanettra Thompson of Belle Rose, and Shanon Holly of Napoleonville, La.; three brothers, Morris Jr., Warren Sr. and Royal Thompson; three sisters, Iretta Thompson, Beatrice Banks and Elizabeth Dorsey; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Morris and Tersa Thompson; and one granddaughter, Blayne Thompson.
Visitation will be 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday, July 17, at Williams and Southall Funeral Home in Napoleonville and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, July 18, at Bright Morning Star Baptist Church in Napoleonville. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church with burial at the church cemetery.
Williams and Southall Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
