Druby Joseph Robichaux, 78, a native and resident of Montegut, La., died on Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2009, at 4:30 a.m.

He is survived by his wife, Arlette Valentin Robichaux; daughters, Loretta (Billy) Young and Alison (Skip) Bourdier; son, William (Laurie) Robichaux Sr.; nine grandchildren, Rodney and Cory Bourg, Jina Young, Jade, Madilyn and James Bourdier and William Jr., Henry and Paul Robichaux; eight great-grandchildren, Caleb, Currin, Emma, Anna, Ashtyn, Brenna, Brooe and Malia; brothers, Robert (Bobbie) and Wilbur (Kay) Robichaux; and his pet dog, Jo Jo.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Rose Ann Pitre Robichaux.


Mr. Robichaux was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, retiring after 22 years of service. He was a member of American Legion Post 272, 622 A.R.E.F.S. and a lifetime member of VFW 40/8.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, Dec. 9, from 5 to 9 p.m., at Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma, and Thursday, Dec. 10, from 9 a.m. until service time at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Montegut.

A Mass of Christian burial will follow Thursday, Dec. 10, at 11 a.m., at the church.

He will be buried at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery.
