Fletcher Technical Community College will hold a pair of career fairs at each of its campuses next week.
The IPT, Criminal Justice, Drafting and Business programs will participate in a career fair next Wednesday at the Schriever campus at 1407 La. Highway 311, and the Nursing, Allied Health and Technical Programs will participate in a career fair next Thursday at the Houma campus at 310 St. Charles St.
Both begin at 10 a.m. and end at 1 p.m.

Car stop leads to pot, more
A Lafayette Street stop led to the arrests last week.
On March 15 shortly before midnight, Houma police officers noticed a brown GMC traveling with its headlights off, said Lt. Dana Coleman, a police spokesman.
A strong odor of marijuana was noticed, Coleman said.
That resulted in a search. Officers, Coleman said, found a plastic bag of marijuana, a black pouch, containing smaller bags of marijuana, and $234 in cash.
The driver, identified as Ocean Jasper, 20, of Bon Jovi Court, was arrested and booked for marijuana possession, transactions involving illegal drug proceeds and failure to use headlamps.
