Roy Octave Gauthreaux, 81, native and resident of Labadieville, La., died Monday, Feb. 11, 2013.
Mr. Gauthreaux was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Labadieville American Legion Post 284. He was an employee of Supreme Sugary Refinery for 42 years and enjoyed watching his grandchildren participate in sports.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Shirley Gauthreaux; daughters Brenda (Greg) Diez, Betty (Nathan) Lomonaco and Adele (Jeff) Naquin; sons, Gary and Eric (Melissa) Gauthreaux; brother, Felix Gauthreaux; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alcide Sr. and Ophelia Gauthreaux; brothers, Andrew, Claude, Wilbert, Wilton, Lester, Alcide Jr. and Norman; and sister, Luciella.
Interment is at St. Philomena Catholic Church Cemetery in Labadieville. (Landry’s)
