Ethel Mae Wise Miles, 67, a native and resident of Paincourtville, La., died at Assumption Community Hospital in Napoleonville, La., Wednesday, January 30, 2008.
She is survived by her daughters, Patty Larvadain and Viola Muse, both of Paincourtville, Laurie Hunter and husband, Joseph, of Lafayette, La., and Annette Thomas and husband, Alvin, of Napoleonville; sons, Gerald Miles and wife, Tracy, of Paincourtville, Douglas Miles and wife, Tammy, of Thibodaux, La., and Elliot Miles and wife, Ophelia, of St. Louis, Mo.; four stepbrothers; one stepsister; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and numerous relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Solomon Sr. and Lillian Messenberg Wise; her husband, Murry Wise Sr.; sister, Dorothy Woods; stepson, Cleveland Miles; and her grandparents.
Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 9, 2008, at Pilgrim Baptist Church in Paincourtville with a religious service to follow. She will be buried in the church cemetery.
Williams and Southall Funeral Home of Napoleonville is in charge of the arrangements.
