BP case has local lawyers under fire

Weldon John Savoie Sr., 84, a native of Houma, La., and resident of Bourg, La., died Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014.
Mr. Savoie was U.S. Air Force veteran and retiree of Union Oil Company. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and kindness. He was a parishioner of St. Ann Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Ruby Savoie; son, Weldon II (Elena) Savoie; daughters, Judith (James) Farmer and Jodith and Deborah Savoie; brother, Carroll Savoie; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Abel and Stella Savoie; brother, Irvin Savoie; and sister, Joyce Talbot.
Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19, at St. Ann Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will begin at the church cemetery. (Chauvin)
