The LSU Athletic Department announced on Thursday that it will serve beer and wine in Tiger Stadium this season.

The move came after the SEC eased its anti-alcohol laws earlier this year.

LSU also released a fan code of conduct to promote responsible consumption, along with a safe and enjoyable environment for all fans.

Athletic Director Scott Woodward said the addition marks an exciting time for Tigers fans.

“This is all about enhancing the fan experience, responding to the feedback from our fans and doing it responsibly,” LSU Athletic Director Scott Woodward said. “It’s a big addition to our events and we believe it will be a positive one overall, but we are going about it with the appropriate mindset and thorough planning.”

LSU said alcohol sales will stop alcohol sales at the end of the third quarter and all fans wishing to purchase will have to show an ID.

All drinks will be served in a cup (no bottles) and no one will be able to purchase more than two alcoholic beverages during a transaction.

Concession stands nearest the student section will not sell beer and wine.

Prices have been determined.
