Daniel R. Horn, 97 a native and resident of Hahnville, Louisiana, died Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2014.
A World War II and Korean War veteran, Mr. Horn received the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He was a member of Knights of Columbus 2409 and American Legion Post 131, both in Luling. He was a former teacher at St. James High School and retired teacher/principal in St. Charles Parish School System, as well as a Compton Encyclopedia salesman. Mr. Horn was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hahnville.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Lussan Horn; sons,
Ronald (Kathy) and Robert (Renee) Horn; daughters, Joan (Harvey) Heintz, Janel (Jack) Pizzolato and Jill Horn; 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Burial is at St. Charles Cemetery in Luling.
