Laf. day care operators can apply for meal reimbursement

Lafourche Parish day care providers are encouraged to participate in the Family Day Care Home program.

The program, federally funded by the Child and Adult Care Food Program through the Louisiana Department of Education Division of Nutrition Assistance, provides reimbursement for nutritious meals served to children enrolled in a day care program.

For more information on the program and various guidelines for qualifying for meal reimbursement, call Stacy Savoy at 985-493-6904.

The goal of the Child and Adult Care Food Program is to ensure that well-balanced and nutritious meals are served to children and adults in care along with helping participants learn to eat a wide variety of foods as part of a balanced diet.
