Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra: Symphony 101 (Baton Rouge)

Sept. 18, at 6 p.m., at the River Center Theatre, 275 South River Rd. Ever wonder what happens behind the scenes of an orchestra production. “Pops” Concert: “A Night at the Movies (Houma)

Downtown Live After 5 (Houma)

Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra (Houma)

Sept. 30, from 3-5 p.m., at the Southdown Plantation House/The Terrebonne Museum, 1208 Museum Drive. A Kids’ interactive instrument zoo will be held from 2-2:45 p.m. Free admission for general seating. Bring your own chairs.
