“In Katrina’s Wake: Restoring a Sense of Place,” through March 3. Photographer Stephen Wilkes’ documentary of the damage wrought by Katrina in Bay St. Louis, Miss. and the Holy Cross neighborhood of New Orleans’ Ninth Ward. These two historic communities were united through disaster and the exhibit covers the struggle to preserve their inherited and social culture that are integral to their neighborhoods.

“Furnishing Louisiana: 1735-1835,” Feb. 24 through June 17. More than 50 pieces of furniture from nearly two dozen collections, along with tools, hardware and wood samples, will be on display. The exhibition aims to trace the origin of Creole America craftsmanship.
