The spirit of entrepreneurship is flourishing as five businesses in Terrebonne Parish prepare for grand openings and re-openings this month. The Houma-Terrebonne Chamber of Commerce invites you to join in the excitement and extend your support to these local enterprises as they embark on 2024.


Mark your calendars and support our growing local business landscape:

  • Gulf Coast Social Services Grand Re-Opening and Ribbon Cutting- Friday, January 5, 2024 at 12 p.m. located at 723 Point Street, Houma– Guld Coast Social Services Houma Region purchased the building in 2021, then Hurricane Ida struck, devastating the region. After two years of repairs, they are finally able to re-open their doors.
  • Xtreme Athletix Grand Opening and Showcase Performance- Saturday, January 6 at 11 a.m. located at 1410 Valhi Blvd., Houma– Offering vendors, craft booths, kids activities, a cook-off, corn hole tournament, and showcase performances, the day will have something for everyone. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for kids 12 and under, kids under 2 are free.
  • BBB Brow Bar Grand Re-Opening and Ribbon Cutting- Sunday, January 7 at 2 p.m. located  at 205 Bayou Gardens Ste., A Blvd., Houma– The bar specializes in brows, skincare, lashes, waxing.
  • Park Place Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting- Saturday, January 13 at 1 p.m. located at 7529 Park Avenue, Houma- Park Place is a 2000 sq. ft venue located in downtown Houma. The area can comfortably seat 100+ individuals inside a beautifully crafted space. It’s an ideal property for hosting celebrations, corporate events, and weddings.
  • Bagneris Law Firm Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting- Friday, January 26 from 12- 4 p.m. located at 1120 Lafayette Street, Houma– A civil and criminal trial attorney.
