The Fourchon Oilman’s Association (FOA) proudly announces the recipients of its 2023 community grants, a testament to the organization’s ongoing commitment to supporting and enriching the local community. Six deserving nonprofits have been selected to receive a total of $40,035 in grants, marking another milestone in FOA’s dedication to fostering positive change.

These grants are made possible through the proceeds generated by FOA’s annual three-day fishing invitational, held each summer, and its premier golf tournament, a fall tradition that brings together industry leaders and community members for a shared cause.

The FOA community grant program, a cornerstone of the association’s philanthropic efforts, focuses on providing support to nonprofit organizations dedicated to the development of education and resources in the parishes of Lafourche and Terrebonne, as well as the community of Grand Isle. “FOA is deeply committed to making a positive impact in our local region, and these grants represent our ongoing efforts to support organizations that play a vital role in enhancing education and community resources,” said Reed Pere, President of the Fourchon Oilman’s Association.

The 2023 FOA grant recipients are as follows:

  • Hope Center: ‘Fresh Food Pantry’ for food insecure families
  • Rebuilding Together Bayou: ‘Fortified Roofs’ project
  • Recreational Fisheries Research Institute (RFRI): TAG IT Louisiana Virtual Fishing Tournament
  • Bless Your Heart Nonprofit Organization: ‘Emergent Personal Supplies’ project
  • Bayou Country Children’s Museum: Oil Platform exhibit upgrade
  • Bayou Lafourche Band of Biloxi Chitimacha Indians: ‘Bringing Unity Back’ project

Applications for the FOA community grant program are accepted annually from 501(c)3 or 170(b) nonprofit organizations, with a submission deadline of November 1 each year.
