Nicholls Ceramic Club Pottery Sale | Nov. 30 & Dec. 1, 9a.m. – 2p.m. | Cotillion Ballroom (Student Union), Nicholls State University – The University Ceramic Club presents their annual sale. Lots of great handmade items perfect for holiday giving.


Christmas Carol-oke | December 1 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. | Three Stitches, Thibodaux– Join the fun with games, prizes, giveaways, and karaoke!

“Miracle on 34th Street” | December 1- 3 | Kolb Center at Vandebilt Catholic High School– The VCHS Theater Program presents “Miracle on 34th Street” on the following dates and times: Friday, December 1 at 7 p.m.; Saturday, December 2 at 7 p.m.; Sunday, December 3 at 2 p.m.All tickets will be sold at the door. ($15 for adults and $12 for students, cash only.) Make plans to see the talented students take the stage! Performance is directed by Jillian Vedros.

34th Breakfast with Santa | December 2 from 7 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. | Vandebilt Cafeteria, Houma– The Kiwanis Club of Houma Foundation presents their 34th Breakfast with Santa! Enjoy delicious pancakes, sausage, coffee, milk and juice. There will be children’s activities and pictures with Santa. Tickets are $9 in advance or $10 at the door. Tickets are available from Kiwanis members and VCHS Key Club members.


Market at the Marina | December 2 from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. | **moved to TGMC Parking Garage** – In celebration of the holiday season, this special Christmas edition of Market at the Marina will encompass activities for all to enjoy. The market will feature over 70 local vendors selling lots of local goods such as fruits, vegetables, bread, jams and jellies, meat and seafood, homemade body care products, and so many other amazing items! The market also features the Marina Sprouts Kid Club program sponsored by Terrebonne General Pediatric care, St. Matthew’s STEM Lab, Little Arts Studio, and more. Reindeer Rowe & A Visit to Santa’s Land | December 2, from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. | Warren J. Harang Municipal Auditorium, Thibodaux – Hosted by the Thibodaux Service League, the Reindeer Rowe holiday shopping event will feature over 30 local merchants all in one spot! Unique gifts, clothing and fashion items, as well as food will be available. General admission tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the door. Admission is free with the purchase of a Santa’s Land ticket. Tickets to Santa’s Land must be pre-purchased online.

Van Geaux in the Park | RESCHEDULED: January 6, 2024 | Houma Courthouse Square– Join us in an artist-led event in Historic Downtown. Unleash your inner Van Gogh through a guided art experience. Immerse yourself in the color and emotion of his work surrounded by the beauty of nature. Choose between the Starry Night or Sunflowers. Don’t miss this fun fusion of art and nature designed for everyone, whether new or experienced. The cost is $20 includes all supplies, instruction and canvas. Community Christmas Party and Craft Show | December 2 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. | Cut Off Youth Center– Held by Bless Your Heart Nonprofit, come on down to the farm and have fun with the whole community! The event will celebrate Christmas and offer shopping with local craft vendors, a petting zoo, Santa, food, and more!

Beignets and Pictures with Santa | December 2 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. | Downtown Jeaux– Enjoy beignets, coffee, milk and pictures with Santa, as part of a client appreciation event with Heather Abadie, Realtor. Sponsored by: Heather Abadie, Realtor; The Hebert Agency; Justin Leblanc, Inspector.

United Houma Nation Celebration | December 2 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. | Bayou Black Community Center– Featuring a white bean cook-offs, food, games, and fun for all ages, the celebration will be one you won’t want to miss. Be sure to bring a dessert to share!


Celebrate the Child Christmas Event | **Rescheduled to DECEMBER 3** from 2 p.m. – 6 p.m. | Rotary Centennial Plaza, Downtown Houma– Join this year’s Celebrate The Child Christmas Event, presented by MacDonell Children, CASA of Terrebonne & The Haven, Inc.., in partnership with Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government and the Annual Houma-Terrebonne Christmas Parade! Spend the afternoon at the Rotary Centennial Plaza and the Courthouse Square prior to the parade for free kids crafts and Santa pictures.

Annual Christmas Parade | **Rescheduled to DECEMBER 3** from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. | Downtown Houma– The annual parade will begin at Terrebonne High School and continue down Main Street. The parade will end at the corner of Barrow and School Street. This year’s parade will feature 35 floats. The tree lighting ceremony will begin around 7:30 p.m. on the Courthouse steps and will include TPCG Administration along with Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Whiskey & Cookies with Santa | December 3 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. | Bayou Terrebonne Distillers– Santa Claus is coming to Town and is making spirits bright! Join Kelsey Chauvin Photography & Bayou Terrebonne Distillers for their holiday event “Whiskey & Cookies with Santa.” Come enjoy your favorite cocktails from your local distillery and bring the kiddos to sit on Santa’s lap and tell the jolly guy what’s on their wish list this year. Tickets are $40.

Reindeer Run 5K (GOTR) | December 3 from 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. | Bayou Country Sports Park– Registration Opens at 11 a.m.; warm-Up at 12:45; race starts at 1:00. Each season of Girls on the Run comes to an end with a celebratory 5K. This closing event gives program participants of all abilities a tangible sense of accomplishment. Swamp Stomp Music Series: Francis Foret Memorial Tribute | December 3 from 1:30 p.m. – 7 p.m. | Chez Felicité, Raceland– Join the memorial tribute for Francis Foret including an open Cajun music jam from 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m., followed by the Swamp Stomp Music Series concert and fais do do with music by T’Canaille.


Thibodaux Christmas Parade | Sunday, December 3, 2023 | Thibodaux– In the spirit of holiday cheer, the Thibodaux Chamber of Commerce invites the community to a parade, commencing at the corner of Afton and Audubon on Nicholls’ Campus, promises a festive procession through the heart of Thibodaux, concluding the merry march at Peltier Park.

LeBijou Salon & Spa Big Reveal and 20 year Celebration | December 3 from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m | Le Bijou Salon, Houma– Join the excitement and the fun as LeBijou celebrates 20 years and rivals a new ear of style!

Paws and Claus pictures | December 3 from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. | Southland Mall, Houma– Santa will host the event in the Center Court. Santa request pets with paws only and please use the main entrance for entering and exiting the mall with your pet.


Holiday Jazz Concert | December 3 at 3 p.m. | Thibodaux Regional Wellness Center’s fifth-floor banquet hall– ‘Tis the season for holly, jolly Christmas jazz as Thibodaux Regional Health System and Music at St. John’s team up once again to present the highly anticipated Holiday Jazz Concert, featuring the talented George Bell & Friends. Adult admission to the Holiday Jazz Concert is priced at $15, offering an affordable and entertaining way to embrace the holiday spirit. South Louisiana Community Orchestra’s Christmas Concert | December 3 at 3 p.m. | St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, Houma.– “A Joyous Christmas” concert will be conducted by Jason Ladd, Director of the Wind Section &  Asst. Music Director at Nicholls  State University. Meg Rousseau will be the piano accompanist and the St. Matthew’s Youth Choir, conducted by Jessica Timmer-Hebert, will be singing: “O Come Little Children” and “The Little Drummer Boy”. Traditional Christmas carols and modern Christmas songs will be featured in the music repertoire. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for those 12 years and younger.
