Christmas Parade & Festivities for Saturday Rescheduled

Terrebonne Parish Sheriff Tim Soignet announces that a joint decision with Parish President Gordon Dove and Consolidated Government has been made today regarding the Christmas Parade, originally scheduled for Saturday, December 2, 2023.

Due to the inclement weather forecasted to affect our parish in the coming days, specifically Saturday, the Christmas Parade will now begin on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at 5:00 pm. The parade route for the event will remain the same. The Christmas Tree lighting in the Courthouse Square will begin at 7:00 pm. Santa and Mrs. Clause will be available for pictures there as well.

The Christmas Parade rolls annually to help kickoff the holiday season and is always a joy for the residents of our parish, with a focus on our children. This decision was made in that interest. Rescheduling the parade will provide our residents and children with a safer, more enjoyable experience. As always, we ask that all attendees adhere to all laws and ordinances, and remember to be patient and respectful of all other attendees. We hope to see everyone there!
