Three Thibodaux teenagers are in custody of the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office in connection with a string of vehicle burglaries in Thibodaux.

On May 31, deputies responded to multiple reports of vehicle burglaries in the area and after deputies developed possible suspects in the case, they made contact with two men matching the suspects’ description on Thursday.

They were later identified as Dezmonta Ellis, 18 and Kobe Wilson, 17.

Authorities discovered firearms in their possession which had been reported stolen in the vehicle burglaries.

Authorities also learned that a third suspect, Rashad Frazier, 17, was in possession of two of the stolen firearms, as well.

Authorities were able to link all three teens to four vehicle burglaries in Thibodaux.

Ellis and Wilson were arrested Thursday and charged with four counts each of simple burglary of a motor vehicle. Wilson was also charged with two counts of illegal possession of a stolen firearm.

Ellis was additionally booked on one count of illegal possession of a stolen firearm.

Both suspects have been released from jail after posting $7,500 bonds.

Frazier surrendered to authorities on June 1 and is charged with four counts of simple burglary of a motor vehicle and two counts of illegal possession of a stolen firearm. He was also booked on a probation violation warrant for the city of Thibodaux.

Frazier is being held without bond.

Authorities said the case is still being investigated.
