Four south Lafourche Parish natives were arrested and charged yesterday for their alleged roles in a string of golf cart thefts in the area.

In April, LPSO detectives started investigating the multiple thefts, which all were in the southern portion of the parish.

In May, three of the golf carts were allegedly found on property where Tarkus Pitre, 43, of Cut Off, resided.

Through investigation, detectives said they learned that Teddy Adams Jr., 29, of Golden Meadow and Kennith Kramer, 37, of Cut Off, had allegedly delivered one of the stolen carts to the residence and they also learned that Adams and Kelly Ordoyne, 21, of Golden Meadow had allegedly delivered the other two on the property.

Detectives said they learned that Pitre purchased each golf cart for approximately $50 each. LPSO said the suspect allegedly knew the carts were stolen when he bought them.

At that time, authorities said they obtained warrants for all four suspects on charges of illegal possession of stolen things. Adams also was identified as the suspect in the actual theft of one of the carts, which led authorities to obtain an additional warrant for him on charges of felony theft.

In the middle of the investigation, authorities said they received another call of a stolen golf cart on May 16. In this call, authorities were called to La. Highway 24 near Bourg in reference to a suspect allegedly driving a stolen cart.

When authorities arrived, they found the golf cart abandoned and that the suspect fled on foot.

But authorities later found a person matching his description walking along the highway, identifying him as Adams.

He was arrested and charged with illegal possession of stolen things. He was later additionally booked on the aforementioned warrants for felony theft and two counts of illegal possession of stolen property. His bond is set at $21,000.

Kramer was already in jail after he was arrested on April 28 after he was allegedly in possession of a handgun and various drug paraphernalia.

At that time, he was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm by a person convicted of domestic abuse battery and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He is now also charged with illegal possession of stolen things. His bond is set at $30,200, but he can’t yet be released because he is serving a 90-day sentence for a contempt of court charge.

Ordoyne was arrested on June 5 and is charged with illegal possession of stolen things.

She bonded out the same day, posting a $1,000 bond.

Pitre was arrested on June 9 on charges of three counts of illegal possession of stolen property.

He was booked into the Lafourche Parish Jail and was released after posting a $7,000 bond.
